Living in the world today means making choices and decisions all the time. With all the stuff you've got to figure out, I bet sometimes you feel lost.

One of the biggest things people are trying to figure out today is where we came from and why we are here. People have tried to come up with all kinds of theories, but most of them lead to hopelessness and purposelessness that makes you want to pull your hair out.

The good news is that there is someone who knows a lot more about life than we do and He doesn't want us to be lost. He doesn't want us to be confused or hopeless either. His name is GOD!

You see, God is the one who made you. And, since He made you, He has a purpose for you. When you find out that purpose you'll know where you're going and you won't be lost anymore.

While God's purpose is different for every single person, there is at least one purpose He has for us that is in common to us all. He wants us to have a relationship with HIM!

God says in his word that we have all sinned (Romans 3:23). Since God is completely HOLY, He cannot have sin in His presence and that means all of us who have been infected with sin cannot be in God's presence. In fact, God's Word says we deserve death for our sin (Romans 6:23).

But, God didn't want to be separated from us. Remember, He has a purpose for us. So, he made the ultimate sacrifice and sent his Son, Jesus Christ to be YOUR substitute and take the penalty of YOUR sin: even before you knew who Jesus was (Romans 5:1).

Jesus died to pay for your sin, but then he came back to life three days later to prove He has power over death and to offer YOU eternal life: life of peace forever with God in heaven when we die. We all DIE. Whether you go to heaven or hell is up to the CHOICES YOU MAKE.

To live with God forever, you must make the choice to begin a relationship with HIM by accepting the gift Jesus Christ gave to you by taking your punishment for your sin. It is a GIFT, so He won't make you take it.

You can choose to go to hell if you want, but if you would like to begin a relationship with the God who CREATED you, you can have eternal life.

Remember these A,B,C's.

First, Admit you're a sinner. Admit God was right when He said you were a sinner. You know you're not perfect and so does everyone else. No one is perfect.

Second, Believe that Jesus paid the penalty for that sin. You can try to pay the penalty for that sin by spending an eternity in eternal torment in hell, or you can believe that Jesus took your place and paid that DEBT for you.

Finally, Confess with you mouth what you have believed in your heart. Tell God you want to accept his free gift of salvation and that you want to start an eternal relationship with Him.

Once you've done that, you've taken the first step in finding your purpose in life. This and all the rest of your steps in life are outlined in God's letter to us, THE BIBLE. Pick one up and begin reading the Book of John. You'll already begin finding new steps to your PURPOSE.
